Daniel, I listened to the sample from Empress Live at amazon, and that's not it.

I'd suggest people listen to the The Live in Paris version that rudebwai included in the myspace page:

Thanks for the comments everyone.

dcADscout, thanks. We now have a entry for the Elvis Costello ad. http://www.splendad.com/ads/show/973-Lexus-Elvis-Costello-Beethoven

raulzzz, "The Very Best of Nina Simone 1967-1972 - Sugar in my bowl" is the album that we already have linked for both iTunes and amazon. It's a little different than what's used in the commercial.

rudebwai, thanks for the info about "Live in Paris". I have no way of confirming that is the song in the commercial, because Amazon doesn't have a sample, but I've added that album above.

KT, I think you're referring to this Diet Coke ad:

maiwyck,
The "Backlash Blues (2005 Remix)" at iTunes from Forever Young, Gifted and Black doesn't match the commercial either. For now I'm leaving the above iTunes and amazon links pointing to the version from The Very Best of Nina Simone.

They are now selling the song through Indie911/Hoooka - http://www.indie911.com/directory/alt-rock/message-of-the-blues

I'd like people not to jump to conclusions with Message of the Blues. I'm trying to confirm this but I believe Message of the Blues is a codename that Beacon Street Studios is using, and is made up of Beacon Street members Andrew Feltenstein and John Nau. The song "LA" hasn't been released for sale yet, and I'm still trying to find out more about that.

Not sure the name of the dress. We can research it, but maybe someone else can leave a comment if they know.

I wrote to Beacon Street Studios, and they said they'd be releasing a full length version on an upcoming album. As soon as we know, we'll update the info here.

Chance, Jamie Lidell does have an album with that song on it. The itunes/amazon links are on the page above. We just updated the layout to make them more obvious.

At this time we don't have info about other talent in the ad.

The song is listed above. "Family Affair" by Mary J. Blige

Clint, not sure exactly where it was filmed, but the GE site (http://www.ge.com/en/company/companyinfo/advertising/eco_ads.htm) says it's set in Patagonia, so you're correct that it's southern Argentina.

Michael, thanks for the comments. Sad news about Ian Richardson. However, this isn't one of his commercials. Anyone looking for one of the Ian Richardson Grey Poupon ads go the Grey Poupon brand link above and go to Son of Rolls.

Karlee, thanks for letting us know about the video. It's a YouTube link, so if it gets taken down at YouTube, it gets taken down here. I found another link for this one.

FR3, I added the partial lyrics. The commercial only uses one and half lines from the song. The full second line is "I saw a poster at the top"

Dan, I hear it as something like "Cotlin", but maybe that's the way she pronounces it.

Kathy, the antifreeze rumors aren't true. Read this
http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/swiffer.asp
In there you'll find links both to Procter & Gamble and the ASPCA in which they say that WetJet is safe to use around pets.

Gary,
We already had Nicole Vicius listed in the Cast, but I've now added Tony Kaye as the director. Thanks.

If anyone's interested in a techno-mixed version of "Yours To Keep", check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELcECCT6-28

It's not the one used in these commercials (Rock 'n' Roll Highschool version), and it's not the new one with Neneh Cherry (clearly because it says "feat. Paola" right in the video).

About the song version, the "Yours To Keep" used in this commercial is the same as used in the other one. It's from Teddybears STHLM's album Rock 'n' Roll Highschool.

If you have the song... For the other commercial "Flowers", refer to about 1:40 into the track. For the advert "Angels" (this page) refer to about 2:20 into the track.

If you've been looking around for a Paola-vocal version of the song, maybe you've found her Stockcity Girl recording. From what I've heard of that one, it's a different mix, and not the version used in either of these ads.
