Action Reaction

Sometimes you'll be watching a commercial and think to yourself it seems familiar. Maybe it's because the creatives decided to be cheeky and reference another ad. Here are some examples.
Subway - Monster - Five Dollar Footlong
Action: Subway rolled out this cute campaign to promote a special $5 footlong deal.
Quiznos - Dimes
Reaction: Then Quiznos came out with a series of ads where people eat five dollars, asking the audience, "If you gonna eat five dollars, shouldn't you get your money's worth?"
Citroen C4 - Transformer Dance
Action: The Citreon likes to get down and boogie. Nothing wrong with that, right?
Chevrolet - Chevy Aveo - Transformer Spoof
Reaction: Chevy warns of the downside to having a dancing car.
British Airways - Face
Action: An iconic ad from BA.
Silverjet - Face
Reaction: Many years later, Silverjet hired BA's former ad agency, so this ad borrows heavily (but tongue-in-cheek) from the original "Face" ad.
Cadbury Dairy Milk - Gorilla
Action: A gorilla playing the drums to promote chocolate? Doesn't make much sense, but proved to be popular.
Wonderbra - Gorilla vs Wonderbra
Reaction: So popular that it inspired this nearly identical viral ad from Wonderbra with the not-so-subtle attractive model in place of the gorilla.
Miller High Life - Super Bowl Viral
Reaction: After the 2008 Super Bowl, Miller High Life released this viral with their delivery man character reviewing several of the Super Bowl ads.
