Subway - Monster - Five Dollar Footlong

Category: commercial

Summary: People are shown extending their hands to represent a foot long sandwich.

Video:

Description

A kitschy, quirky commercial. It shows people first holding up their hand, making the "five" sign, to represent the cost of the sandwich - $5. Then they hold up both hands to represent the length of the sub - foot long. This is complemented by special effects that show a distance "1 FT."

The scenes include: A traffic officer stopping a woman on a moped. A flight attendant doing her demonstration on an airplane. A Godzilla-like monster attacking a city. A weather lady doing the weekly forecast - which is displayed in Times Square.

"To say thanks for making Subway footlongs famous, get any piled-high regular footlong for just five dollars. Five dollar footlongs. Hurry. A celebration this great won't last long."

Lyrics to the jingle:
Five
Five dollar
Five dollar footlong
Five
Five dollar
Five dollar footlong
It's ca-ca-ca-catching on
At Subway
