I have a bet that the man returning the drill in the Filet o Fish commercial is the same as the actor with hat and glasses in the Planters Peanuts Sea Salt commercial.
I am surprised that the Internet in general could not offer this information, as there seems not to be any listings for actors in commercials, like IMDB does for actors in TV and movies. Please verify or deny this assertion. |

I think it is the same guy.
Btw, according to Wikipedia and imdb (by a fan on the message board), the guy you're talking about is JR Reed, who is best known for his work with the band Tenacious D. |
