T-Mobile - Repeated Voicemail - Part 1

Category: commercial

Summary: A guy tries to leave a voicemail to a woman he met, but keeps having to try over - Part 1.

Video:

Description

The setup is similar to the scene in Swingers in which Mike repeatedly leaves messages to Nikki, a young woman he met at bar that night, breaking the two day rule.

But the character in this commercial, Charlie, realizes how awkward his messages sound, and cancels them so he can try again. And again. And again.

Charlie (on the phone): Hey Heather, it's Charlie. I must have missed you. Not that I miss you. I wouldn't say I miss you, 'cause that would be weird this early in the relationship. Not... this isn't a relationship. I know that.
Automated response: To re-record your message, press 3.

The rest of his voicemails:

  • Heather, how are yooou? That was creepy.
  • You smelled so good last night. Is that weird to say?
  • Why am I talking so loud?
  • Oh, another lame joke.
  • People say I'm a pretty good, you know, salsa dancer.
