Released in 1973, this is Eumir Deodato's funk rendition of the song Richard Strauss composed in 1896. A traditional version of the song is best known as being the theme to 2001: A Space Odyssey, Stanley Kubrick's epic movie from 1968.

Description

The guy (Mr. Hadley) calls up a woman and proclaims, "Doris, I've always loved you." She promptly hangs up on him. In an alternate version, she says "Who is this?"

Hadley rings the doorbell at a house, and says to the man that answers the door, "I'm your real dad!" The guy looks stunned, and says "Mom" to his mother in the house.

Then the old man walks around naked at the Forest Glen Nudist Colony, and flirts with an young woman.

He's also seen getting a tattoo across his chest that says "mi vida loco", which translates to "my crazy life".

Mr. Hadley dives off a high board into an Olympic size pool. It looks like it might be after-hours, because the lights are dim.

Then he's zipping down the highway on a motorcycle, lying in bed with twins, running with the bulls, then finally walking down a crowded city street.

There are different edits of the commercial, the long version desribed above and a shorter one that aired during Super Bowl XLI in 2007 (The above video).
