Why wait until the end of the year to highlight what's happening. Now that we're past the halfway point of 2008 here's a round up of some recent songs in commercials.

Zappos.com - Free

Donavon Frankenreiter first showed up on our radar when his song "Free" was featured in a Zappos.com ad.

The Hilton Family - No Blackout Dates

"Free" has also been used in a campaign from Hilton, notably airing during U.S. Olympic Trials coverage on NBC.

The Hilton Family - Leisure

The Hilton campaign also uses another Donavon F. song - "Life, Love & Laughter".

Chevrolet - Chevy Malibu - Art

Silversun Pickups got some song exposure in this Chevy ad.

MLB - All Star Game 2008

Silversun Pickups then drove it home with this All Star Game promo.

Fuse TV - Music is a Balloon

Rogue Wave's music has been in a few ads. The song in this spot - "Eyes" - was also used in an episode of "Heroes".

Old Navy - The Urban Explorer

Lights had an impressive lineup of songs in commercials with a four part series of Old Navy ads spanning four months, starting with this one.

Heineken - Beertender

Walter Meego - These guys got some buzz from this Heineken ad.

Bud Light Lime - Bring It Out

Santogold is the current ad diva; her music being featured in several ads. This Bud Light Lime spot uses "Lights Out".

Extreme Style VO5 Gel - Situps

"Creator" also has been used in a campaign from VO5.

Ford Flex - Grid
