Description
David Beckham uses drawing and animation to help illustrate how he felt during the period of his career in which he was vilified. He was given a red card during a match against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup. That prompted many fans and members of the media to become very critical of him. Then in 2001 he scored a goal in the closing minutes against Greece to ensure England a place in the 2002 World Cup. After that many of his critics became supporters. At the end of the commercial Beckham states, "You will go through tough times. It's about coming through them".
