Music in the commercial
Lyrics used in the commercial
You and me at the edge of the world
With a pretty secret smile
For me to see, for me to see
New bright whites
And a cage full of ice
And a naked little canopy
To feed my disease, my disease
And if you're to smile at me
Description
One feature of Windows 8 is using a picture password to log into the computer. The people in the commercial are using touch screens, and making shapes to enter their password.
First is Carol Troup, who has a picture of her child in a red astronaut suit. The password is a clockwise circle and two arrows (antennae). After the password is successful, the Windows 8 tiles screen is displayed.
Next is Glen John. His picture is himself and another standing on a rock by what looks like a glacier.
Maureen Magnotta enters her password picture on a tic-tac-toe drawing her daughters drew on the sidewalk.
Some other pictures quickly shown: A girl ice skating, a guy diving, a toddler being tossed into the air, a cat being held, a stuff animal bear posing near a mountainous view, a penguin looking at a woman, a guy kissing the cheek of a woman, a little girl yelling.
Anne Wallace enters her picture password on a pic of her twin daughters, who have pigtails.
