DB Export Beer - Beer, The Untold Story
Category: commercial
Summary: The story behind New Zealand's DB Export Beer.
Video:
Description
In 1958, New Zealand taxed imported beer at double the rate, which prevented the working man from being able to afford quality beer. Morton Coutts saw an opportunity and brewed a high quality domestic beer, which wouldn't be taxed at the high rate.
The true story is told in a black & white reenactment, and features what a typical bar might have looked like. The working class men try the DB Export Beer, and celebrate.
