Description

2008's "Idol Gives Back" is the second year the show is holding this charity event. Funds raised during the even are used to help people who are in poverty around the world.

This promo shows footage of the celebrities in the impoverished areas, in addition to performances from 2007. The celebrities include: Ben Stiller, Ellen DeGeneres, Madonna, and Bono. Carrie Underwood is shown doing her version of "I'll Stand By You." The performance video footage from 2007 includes: Josh Groban performing with the African Children's Choir, Kelly Clarkson hugging Jeff Beck after a performance, and Annie Lennox after a performance.
