"Hey Steve." "Oh hi, Rick." That's how the ad starts, with Steve holding a cell phone, and behind him is the Verizon network personified by the Verizon Test Man and thousands of others. Behind Rick is an inept looking network.

Steve explains how he's testing out Verizon as part of a promotion they're holding where you can try Verizon for 30 days, and if you're not satisfied, you can switch your number to another network and Verizon will pay for the calls during the trial period (small print restrictions of course).

Rick (to his network): Hmph. You guys never let me do that.
Other network guy: Rick, it's not what you think.
Rick: I think you're not as reliable.
Other network guy: Then it is what you think.
