Description

WaMu's launch commercial for their "New WaMu Free Checking" campaign.

It starts off with WaMu banker Bill in a casual blue shirt walking through one of the banks. He says, "Here at Washington Mutual, how do we come up with all the great customer-friendly features in our new WaMu Free Checking account? Endless market research? Computer modeling? No."

He then travels down a secret platform into an enormous underground lair that looks like something out of a James Bond movie. He points out the "bankers pen" - bankers in business suits behind a velvet rope. They represent an old way of banking, so "if these stodgy old bankers think an idea is wrong, then we know it's right."

Bill goes through a list of features, and each is met with heckling from the bankers. In the end, it's "feeding" time for the bankers, when a large champagne bottle is lowered that's rigged up like a pet's water bottle.
