Description

This is one of the webisodes for Monk that USA usually runs between commercials.

On a bright, sunny day, Monk walks down the street in awe. The houses, sidewalk, lawns, and everything are neatly kept and clean. A landscaper meticulously trims a hedge, complete with a carpenter's level. A woman walks her groomed poodle.

Downtown, a clothing shop has on display several brown suits that look just like Monk's. Twin girls (representing symmetry) in red dresses skip rope for him. Then, he walks past some meter maids that are using Windex to clean the parking meters. They're apparently so clean that Monk doesn't mind touching them, but he does so in his usual OCD manner.

Everything is going well, with even the clouds in the sky forming into neat squares, but the euphoria doesn't last long when Monk looks down, and sees green gum on the bottom of his shoe.

Next thing you know he wakes up in the Captain's office. He had been daydreaming.

"What's wrong?" asks the Captain.

"I, I just had that horrible nightmare again."
