The word "trip" refers to the drive the Honda Civic takes through a city, and also alludes to a psychedelic trip. The visuals aren't distorted from reality though. They are a different viewpoint of every day sights in a city. Road lights, office lights, reflections of lights in puddles.

[GlennG] I've never seen this ad here in the US. The hood on the Civic we finally see at the end looks more like the European version of the car. There's another 2008 Honda ad for the Fit which features an electro song I'd to know about as well.
