Kia - Maniac commercial

I am absolutely riveted by this commercial, well done by Kia!

One of the best commercials out there. How come the rest of the industry can't be this ingenious?

This is the best ever commercial. It's hilarious and awesome. I love it! Kia keep up make commercial this funny that was a grand slam for you guys!

We work with a guy named Tony that entertains us with dancing to this song down the hallway in the office. He could have done this part. Great commercial.

This is the most maddening, nerve wracking commercial since the Head On commercial. And it seems to be on every other minute or so. I can't get to my mute button fast enough! I think this is going to drive me to become a maniac.

Unlike most of the rest of you, I find it to be deeply disturbing at a ratehr primal level. Shudder!

This is one of the most annoying, risque (pelvic thrusts? humping?)ads of the year! How in blue blazes does this have to do with a car and selling a Kia? FlashDance is so old! He looks like a sweaty, stinky nerd! I would never want that ever coming near me in a showroom! No Kia for me after this ad!

The dancer in the kiafest commercial is brilliant in his portrayal of the EVERY MAN. He manages to be funny, nerdy, and SEXY all at the same time. I LOVE him. but I have a question. Is the guy who dives over the car and then lands in the chair to get dosed with water the same man that dances in the beginning? The man wet in th chair seens a lot slimmer and in better shape. Did they use a double for that part? Has anyone else notice? All in all it is an enjoyably funny commercial

I love the Kiafest commercial. The dancer manages to be Mr. Everyman--nerdy, funny, and sexy! But I have a question: Is it a different guy who dives over the car and lands in a chair to be dosed with water.I ask because he looks slimmer and in better shape, than the first dancer. Or was the dacer wearing baggy cloths at the start? Anyone else think there were two men playing the role?

This is it, the winner! Hands down! Everything is in this commercial desire, male, female, temptation, car, money, persuasion, ecstasy and a shower! I LOVE this commercial! It is the BOMB!!!!! "The gift of gab"! When Talent meets Luck add a great product and you'll get the KIAFEST commercial. My hat is off to this team!

Very poor attempt at exploiting what was a trendsetter of a movie. Sorry, the thrusting pelvis and the out of shape salesman just don't make it. Granted one thinks of the car, but would I buy one? Nope and the ad doesn't do anything to sway me from european manufactures...

There are some very clever commercials out there that when all is said and done actually get you to think about the product that is trying to be sold. This one is a complete distraction and in poor taste. I can't change the channel fast enough when I see this one.

This commercial is HILARIOUS!! They play it so often that I've lost count of how many times I've seen it but I find myself laughing every time even when I try not to. When my husband saw it the 1st time I heard him laughing from the other room and calling to me to hurry and come see it.

I think this is a GRREEAAT ad! It's clever, good moves, great music, AND I remember the product, and am telling others to watch it. This ad is a HUGE success! The ad rep should receive an award!

The best part is him showing the car kneeling and doing the bump and grind. And then the clinet steps back and nods. It is so awesome, I could watch it 100 times a day and never get tired of it

This ad does it's job. Your meant to remember the brand. Thats it. You either love it (the majority so far) or you hate it. Either way you remember it and the ad people did their job. They should theme this guy in future commercials. I could see him ballroom dancing with his mother.

This ad is the most disgusting and nauseating thing I've ever seen. The ad has nothing to do with the car, Flashdance is ancient, and why would I want to see a sweaty, bloated, overweight, greasy looking marshmallow pumping the air with his pelvis and dancing like a fairy? *shudder*

First time I saw this commercian I thought to myself "OMG WTH?!" after I stopped laughing. I also thought "What the hell is up with that pelvic thrust!!" Anyways, I finally had to look it up and I ran across you people.

Now look, I know some of you are EXTREMELY homophobic and can't handle to even see another human beings fully clothed butt even for a second, but let me ask you a question. Are you SURE you're not gay? No seroiusly, stop and think. Were you abused by a uncle? By your dad? Did some guy touch you the wrong way? Your priest maybe? I've noticed that people who are extremely homophobic are trying to hide the fact that they are gay from themselves. Corny. I wasn't impressed. The young generation buying cars don't even remember Flash Dance. The pelvic thrusts were kinda gross.

I think it's hilarious. I love that he is selling the "sex " part to the guy, who nods like "Yeah I could score!!" Hysterical.

This is perhaps the worst commercial I have ever seen.

1. People who did not achieve the age of 10 at any point in the 1980s should not be making advertising decisions about what should be in a commercial. The 80s were the terrible. TERRIBLE.

2. What the heck does this commercial have to do with the product? If I go into a kia dealership, and a dude is going to flip around all sweaty and unattractive, trying to sell me like a "maniac" I am going to buy anything that is NOT a kia.

3. Why do the people in the commercial just take the keys like this is completely normal behavior?

Everyone who is in, approved, or enjoyed this commercial clearly needs shock therapy. It's for their own good.

Well! I think this commercial was a major success! It got a lot of publicity. Whether positive or negative, it was publicity. In the business world that means major success!

Do you know what's the worst part of watching Euro2008 is? Watching your favorite teams lose? Watching the dives? Watching the stupid hairbands some of the players wear? Watching some of the stupid things players do with their fingers while celebrating their goals?

It's the stupid Kia commercials! It's having to see that chubby moron do his Flashdance imitation. I have to mute or change the channel each and every time that idiot does his Flashdance trying to sell crappy Korean cars that look like they were built in the 60's! Bring back the Kia commercial with that slutty policewoman fornicating in a Kia with the motorist she had just pulled over. Ha ha ha!
Korean cars = crap.
Maybe one day they will be good cars providing there are actually good dealers who honor the warranties. Look at Samsung. They were crap when they first came out. Now they're very good. But now, I just laugh at anyone driving a Korean made car! Oh yeah! You're cool because you paid less for a piece of crap car that no dealer will stand behind and which has absolutely no resale value.

You all need to get your heads checked. This ad all but ruined the tournament for me. It is irritating beyond belief and evokes the nastiest images. Why on earth would I want to buy a car that I associate obese sweaty idiot with? Just who was their target audience? Failed pornographers? Never buying a car from them. It is a strange sensation. I have never felt such vitriol towards an advertisement before. All in all, I think I'll never buy a car from these people. The road rage induced while thinking about this ad and driving their car at the same time would probably cause some massive 100 car pile up. Terrible. In this day when those who already suffer, have to endure a large company's portrayal of a Mental Illness to further perpetuate the stygma of their suffering, using insensitive advertising.
The Psychiatric Association are certainly considering further action.
