Description
The ASPCA (The American Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals) helps rescued abused animals and tries to find them loving homes. This ad shows several rescued animals, some that are disfigured, and sadly even some missing eyes.
The text says:
Every day in America thousands of animals suffer from cruelty and neglect
Thousands were rescued last year
But for thousands of others help came too late
Then Sarah McLachlan, with a dog on her lap, asks the audience to become an "angel" for a helpless animal. She's referring to the ASPCA Guardian program, in which one pledges to donate a monthly amount to the ASPCA.

[dougquaid] this commercial is very depressing, so much so that I have to change the channel when it comes on every time, however I will admit that it is very powerful,in its message and the way it is put together, whoever put it together did a very good job at pulling at the heartstrings of people.. I even had a nightmare about it last night where I cried (in my dream) uncontrollably.
