BMW - Feats commercial

Summary: Famous structures such as the Empire State Building are shown being built from the top down.

Description

The commercial opens with a scene of the Empire State Building being constructed, with a narrow column holding up the completed top. It's shown in black and white, and in a style of film that might have been used in 1930-31 when the New York landmark was being built. Of course it's silly to imply that the ESB was build from the top down, and that's the point the commercial tries to make. "Great feats of engineering don't start with the top."

Other famous structures shown as if built from the top: Taj Mahal in India; Gateway Arch in St. Louis; Pyramids of Giza, Egypt.

After those impressive but impractical images, the scene changes to a BMW parked on a scenic road. The top goes down in the car, and the voice-over explains the BMW 3 Series convertible was built from the ground up.
